So I got the game all dl'ed and everthing, including all the patches available. When i go to click "Play" the loading screen isn't appearing and the music is coming in all choppy as well as a black choppy screen...anyone know wut the problem could be...I'm an idiot with these thigns so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Um the same thing happened to me with the beta. I had to go into the AoC folder on my C drive and there was an exe file named "AgeofConan" and I ran it from there. A black prompt screen came up and scrolled through a whole bunch of crap then eventually the game started and worked properly.
Hope that helped. I can't really even begin to troubleshoot since I don't even have the file downloaded at this moment.

I appreciate the help Gemma, unfortunately the exe file experienced the same file...the error message i got in the lil black window that opened up read...
ERROR Cheetah - Failed to create pixel shader object gui.psh
- followed by a bunch of lines saying "symbol not found. <0>
Is this because I technically can't get on until the 20th with the commercial release or is this something else...?

all the gamestops got the game today so you can install it from the commercial release and play early if u bought the early access

Rayfe dude, it looks like you may have a graphic card issue. What graphics card do you have?

ATI X800 series...i just checked the forums and apparently there are a few other ppl having the same problem, however i've yet to see a solution

I can safely say your problem is that you're using an ATI card. Buy a Nvidia card like a big boy.

Ok, so after a lot of posting on the forums i found out that the last patch fucked up the a lot of ppl's shit who had the same video card as me...some guy posted wut to change in one of the files and now its all good..thanks for the help and suggestions tho...and to all of you who are in the early access tell me wut u think of it so far...i'm ithcin to play here
